Travel Fail: Undeclared Rifle Discovered In 71-Year-Old's Bag By Logan Airport TSA

TSA agents often find strange and possibly illegal items in passengers' bags, but the sight of a rifle was likely shocking to the TSA agent who discovered it.

A TSA agent came face-to-face with the rifle a passenger was attempting to board with.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 25, a muzzle-loading rifle was discovered in a 71-year-old's checked bag screening at Boston Logan International Airport, according to a Tweet made by TSA New England.

The rifle was improperly packed, apparently carried inside a bag that also contained shoes.

The rifle was confiscated and Massachusetts State Police took possession of the weapon.

The 71-year-old male passenger was allowed to continue, TSA said.
